Apprentice

The apprentice position is an internship that requires learning and performing tasks required to install complete plumbing systems under the supervision of a journeyman plumber. This position requires hand digging, hands on training, heavy lifting, all complete plumbing requirements, demolition work, and working in the outside elements.

Journeyman Plumber

A journeyman is required to know the plumbing code, be a competent supervisor, know how to interpret job specifications/drawings, know how to install complete plumbing systems, and delegate tasks. A journeyman position has the same requirements as an apprentice, but is expected to be the competent person in all aspects of installation and operations for their specific jobs or tasks. The below subtitles are additional titles to journeyman positions that are tested and/or field earned:

  • NITC Certified Med gas Installer
  • Journeyman Gas Fitter
  • OSHA 30’ Hour Certified
  • Certified Equipment Operators
  • Certified Backflow Tester Lead Forman / Superintendent Position
